T20 Engage

You must question some of the colours but the logo's are very good. Who is your team? Comment below!
(L-R) BBL Captains - Marcus North - Michael Klinger - Andrew McDonald - David Warner - James Hopes - Tim Paine - Brad Haddin - Cameron White
With Australia's "revolutionary" T20 competition just hours away from inauguration, we take a look at who will shine, who is injured and who will WIN.
Squads (Injured, International Duty, *Key Player) - Preview and Predictions
Adelaide Strikers
Aiden Blizzard, Cameron Borgas, Lee Carseldine, Tom Cooper*, Adam Crosthwaite, Theo Doropoulos, Brendan Drew, Callum Ferguson*, Daniel Harris, Michael Klinger (c)*, Nathan Lyon, Bryce McGain, James Muirhead, Aaron O'Brien, Gary Putland, Kane Richardson. Overseas players: Johan Botha, Kieron Pollard, Alfonso Thomas. Coach: Darren Berry.

Loosing one of the top 5 T20 players in Kieron Pollard to a hamstring injury, The Adelaide Striker really need to stand up. One of the only teams not to be overwhelmed with Injury and International duty can be seen as a bonus to their solid Domestic player line-up.

5TH

Brisbane Heat
Ryan Broad, Nick Buchanan, Daniel Christian*, Peter Forrest, Mathew Gale, Ryan Harris, Chris Hartley, Nathan Hauritz, Matthew Hayden, James Hopes (c), Chris Lynn, Alister McDermott, Michael Neser, Steve Paulsen, Andrew Robinson, Chris Swan. Overseas players: Brendon McCullum*, Daniel Vettori*. Coach: Darren Lehmann.

With the Heat's three star players having a future of uncertainty they could have a very hard fought BBL campaign. The sheer T20 skill that Christian, McCullum and Vettori bring to this team is overwhelming and without them on the park, it could be a hard fought struggle.

8TH

Hobart Hurricanes
Tim Paine (c), Travis Birt, Mark Cosgrove*, Xavier Doherty, Luke Feldman, Evan Gulbis, Ben Hilfenhaus, Michael Hogan, Phil Jaques, Matt Johnston, Jason Krejza*, Nick Kruger, Ben Laughlin, Rhett Lockyear, Ricky Ponting, Jonathan Wells. Overseas players: Rana Naved-ul-Hasan*, Owais Shah. Coach: Ali de Winter.

Loosing the captain to an extensive finger injury is devistating for the Hobart Hurricanes who boast a strong Domestic side in this competition all but unaffected by Australia's injury crisis. Nevertheless, with quality T20 International players in Rana Naved-ul-Hasan and Owais Shah, The Hurricanes can be expected to be the Dark Horse of the competition although, also the tip for the spoon.

7TH

Melbourne Renegades
Meyrick Buchanan, Ryan Carters, Aaron Finch*, Shane Harwood, Aaron Heal, Jayde Herrick, Michael Hill, Brad Hodge*, Graham Manou, Glenn Maxwell, Andrew McDonald (c), Brenton McDonald, Dirk Nannes*, Nathan Reardon, Will Sheridan, Shaun Tait*. Overseas players: Abdul Razzaq, Shahid Afridi*. Coach: Simon Helmot.

This is definately the team to beat. The Renegades have recruited well and boast the best bowling and all-rounder attack in the competition through the likes of Nannes, Tait, Afridi and Razzaq. Unfortunately, Loosing T20 Dynamo Brad Hodge for two games will hurt their batting firepower lead by Aaron Finch.

1ST

Melbourne Stars
George Bailey*, Jackson Bird, James Faulkner*, Peter Handscomb, Jon Holland, David Hussey*, Alex Keath, Clint McKay, James Pattinson*, Rob Quiney, Peter Siddle, Chris Simpson, Adam Voges, Matthew Wade, Shane Warne*, Cameron White (c)*. Overseas players: Jade Dernbach, Luke Wright. Coach: Greg Shipperd.

Another side to watch out for, Warney's warriors have a very even team in both the bowling and batting department. Loosing Pattinson and Siddle to the Test side could end up being devistating for this team's balance, but with steady bowled such as Faulkner and McKay, the team should shine. Led by White and Warne, this team looks ever so promising.

2ND

Perth Scorchers
Tom Beaton, Michael Beer, Mark Cameron, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Liam Davis, Ben Edmondson, Brad Hogg, Michael Hussey, Mitchell Johnson, Simon Katich, Mitchell Marsh*, Shaun Marsh, Marcus North (c), Nathan Rimmington*, Luke Ronchi*. Overseas players: Paul Collingwood, Herschelle Gibbs. Coach: Lachlan Stevens.

Another solid side but the missing presence of Shaun Marsh and Mitchell Johnson will hurt this team and they will be sorely missed. Nevertheless, with the likes of Ronchi, Rimmington and Mitch Marsh, the side is in good hands to go along with some solid International signings.

6TH

Sydney Sixers
Ed Cowan, Pat Cummins*, Brad Haddin (c), Josh Hazlewood, Moises Henriques, Brett Lee*, Stuart MacGill, Nic Maddinson, Ian Moran, Peter Nevill, Steve O'Keefe*, Ben Rohrer, Steven Smith, Mitchell Starc, Dominic Thornely, Shane Watson. Overseas players: Dwayne Bravo*, Michael Lumb. Coach: Trevor Bayliss.

Minus the injuries and this team boasts the best look (to go along with the "Magenta") in the competition, But International Duty and Injuries to key players such as Pat Cummins, Steve O'Keefe, Steve Smith and Shane Watson have severely cut this teams ability and chances of winning the BBL.

3RD

Sydney Thunder
Sean Abbott, Tim Armstrong, Nic Bills, Doug Bollinger, Luke Butterworth, Scott Coyte, Tim Cruickshank, Matthew Day, Luke Doran, Ben Dunk, Jason Floros, Usman Khawaja, Craig Philipson, Daniel Smith*, David Warner (c)*. Overseas players: Fidel Edwards, Chris Gayle*. Coach: Shane Duff.

The team that has put together the best opening T20 partnership in the world has also delivered the best disappointment in Domestic T20 cricket. With Warner now firmly in the Australian test team, this solely focused batting team's chances have faded away. Still, with Chris Gayle on your team, anything can happen.
